This is a VERY Bright Flashlight!

Pros: solid construction, broad beam, lanyard provided
Cons: switches on in the 'high' setting, can not focus beam
"I've only had the flashlight a few weeks but I am quite impressed. This flashlight is VERY bright and has a quite a broad beam. My only criticism is that the light is turned on in the 'high' setting. My personal preference is that it be initiated in 'low' for close-up tasks."

Good quality, solid and BRIGHT

Pros: bright and well built
Cons: uses expensive aa batteries.
"Very nicely built. All machined aluminum with o-rings. Very very bright for the first little while and then gets gradually dimmer. Too bad it doesn't use 3 'C' cells instead of 6 "AA".
Same voltage because the AA's are grouped in two parallel runs. The price is good as most other places are asking close to 100.00 for just one flashlight but that does include the 6 batteries (not included with Costco's offer).
They warn you not to use lithium batteries but Ni-Mh work great. Would be quite expensive to use Alkalines as battery life is not great on brightest setting. So, all in all, beautiful build quality and very bright for the first while. Use Ni-Mh to keep running costs low and you'll be happy.

Powerful beam

Pros: uses regular/rechargeable aa batteries
"On half strength, it could be used as a normal flashlight, full strength and my neighbors thought the police were in the backyard.
Five hours at full strength with fresh batteries is very nice.
For its relative small size it's a powerhouse.
