Exactly what I needed

Pros: heart rate no chest strap
"I purchased this for the heart monitor function, no chest strap required. Having recently had a heart event, I need to check my heart rate while exercising and this watch is performing admirably. I have been comparing it to the readings taken in my cardiac wellness program and it is always exactly 2 beats less than what they record. So I'm confident in using it when I'm out on my own. The step counter seems to be accurate as well as the time exercised and distance travelled. Only the calorie counter seems to be a bit off occasionally. Very pleased with this purchase."

Terrible

"I've been using this watch for 3 weeks and it is going back. The mechanism to track your steps works very poorly. Apparently I walked over 12,000 steps during a six hour car drive and had a similar number on a 10 hr long flight & drive!! And when I actually exercise and x-country ski, I burn less calories than when I drive. The timer device to target calorie burned during a specific exercise is also quite innacurate. The step or heart rate function can be set, but if you don't press the button to get your heart rate every 5 min., the tracking mechanism reverts to steps. Rather annoying to have to check constantly especially when doing winter sports. Not only that, but like I have seen in other reviews of a previous model, getting too sweaty prevents a reading."
