Customer Reviews for ViewSonic® 27-in. Widescreen LED Monitor
Review 1 for ViewSonic® 27-in. Widescreen LED Monitor
Date:October 26, 2012
Pros: none, bright
Cons: bad quality control fuzzy text.
"I bought this line of monitor from Costco 2 years ago for my husband and he is still happily using it. But the new model I ordered for myself lately is a big disappointment. First, there is a problem with the power plug. Only by many jiggling the monitor would come on. And if I sneezed, it would lose power. Second, the text is very fuzzy. I tried to adjust the displaying, no use. The pictures looked bridge and good, but the text was too fuzzy to read."

Review 2 for ViewSonic® 27-in. Widescreen LED Monitor
Date:September 13, 2012
"Since 1994 with my first ViewSonic screen and i've tried many screens throughout the years. ViewSonic still keeps quality, performance and standards that live to their name. I'm 30 and a computer programmer and geek since I was 14 and this screen can be used as a professional quality monitor for work, imaging, and is also very performant for games and movies. A good buy and worth every penny. ViewSonic has a legacy in keeping the color gamut accurate on viewing with its high contrast LED and fast response rate. it's amazing. the only negative is that i wished Costco had the model that can be height-adjusted vertically. I had to put a couple of books under the base for an accurate position."

Review 3 for ViewSonic® 27-in. Widescreen LED Monitor
Pros: great picture. as good as it gets on a pc monitor
Cons: viewsonic customer support is poor., support tech's unknowledgable
"Setup is not for the faint of heart .
1st let me state that I am very IT savvy and know what I'm doing, but...if you don't go through a (non-standard), initial on-screen setup, these monitors will not display properly. They come setup for TV viewing - not PC. You MUST perform the setup and it's not abundantly clear when you pull them out of the box.
2) I bought 4 of them to install to my Dell T3500 workstation running an ATI FirePro 2450 MV card on MDP >>> HDMI outputs. I could NOT get them to go into the native resolution of 1920 x 1080 no matter what I did. I spent two days researching the solution until I found it on the web. Viewsonic support was useless and the tech's knew less than nothing. I ended up having to use the ATI Cataylst software to use image scaling and had to set the overscale option to +15% for the displays to work in 1920 x 1080, though the displays always report they are working in that resolution, even if they're set to 640 x 480. Dumb. The previous monitors which I purchased a few years back from Costco.ca had no issues at all with this exact same setup.
3) All that said, when I finally got them working, they worked perfectly and have 4 bright, vivid, lively and super fast displays! Picture is Incredible and by far the best viewing display I have seen yet! The way they sit on the desk with the bookstand configuration is absolutely perfect!
Viewsonic needs to make some changes in support and how this monitor comes setup. There are many reports about this issue on the web.
