Works even on older wiring!
Pros: easy setup, good with older wiring and fuse boxes
"I have a mix of aluminum and copper wiring, with a fuse box in my 1968 home, which cause me no end of grief, but even with that problem, the WD Livewire product gives me an average of 160Mbps. (I've tried other products -- they didn't even work -- had to do with having to be on the same circuit)
Very easy to setup -- plug in both, press sync button and they work.
Note: If you want to setup the private network option you'll need to plug in all the devices, and link one to your PC, then setup the password on all the other devices, then switch to another one and setup the 1st one's password -- they forget to mention this in the manual -- once all the devices are setup with their passwords, you can activate the private network."

No Regrets
Pros: portable can take from room to room, great connection
Cons: may need a longer network cable than provided, might be tempted to work outside
"Extremely happy with this powerline kit. Any worries about networking my laptop are over. No wireless router to buy and no fishing cables through walls. Have outlet will travel.
Not only can I watch TV espisodes online, now I can run those "how to" videos on the internet right where I'm installing the products.
A small heads up in advance. Depending on the location of your devices (eg TVs and outlets, you may find you need a longer network cable than the ones provided."

Easy networking
Pros: easy reliable and good price

"Just plug in and you are connected. No need to know network name, WEP key or where to put the network adaptor for best reception..."
