Great product!
Pros: affordable great quality easy to operate.
"We bought units for each of the bedrooms. There is a noticeable difference in the air quality. I have allergic asthma and as a result barely have a cough since we've purchased our Life Cell units. Even dust is minimal.
Great product and I strongly recommend it to anyone!"

IF YOU HAVE PETS OR KIDS OR BOTH, YOU MUST HAVE!
Pros: takes away all odors quickly and cleans the air, it takes the odors dust and leaves the air clean
Cons: i can't find any cons. i so wish it came in white, the light is pretty bright so it's a night light
"i live in a 2 bedroom condo and one of my neighbours is a smoker so I can smell it every time they light up. It is so horrible. I have spent a small fortune on air fresheners that mask the smell with perfumes and I have purchased a couple other brands of air filters but nothing was working. I have been reading the reviews on many of the air purifiers and comparing them. I noticed a feedback on another top seller at Costco for around the same price. The comment was that this person had purchased a couple of those units and had returned them. They purchased this unit Asept-Air Life Cell 5-stage Ultimate Air Purifier and hands down it is better and does more square footage than any of them. I also checked out the Good Housekeeping Website. This Asept-Air unit is amazing! I can't believe the difference! I have the unit in the hallway between the living area and the bedrooms and we have not smelt smoke once! I also notice in the morning sunlight little dust flakes in the beam of light and this morning, I couldn't find a single dust floater in the air. The kitty box is also in a separate storage room by the hallway, and I have yet to smell anything after he does his business. This machine also has a brain and knows when it senses dust or odours it turns up the fan. I think it's an amazing practical purchase and I am loving it so much. It works for every room in the unit.""

THANK GOD FOR ASEPT AIR LIFE CELL

"I have tried about a dozen air purifiers for my children and NOTHING compares to the quality of this unit. I know a lot about AIR QUALITY and this unit does exactly what it is supposed to. My children sleep better- our lives are better because of this unit. Every family should have this unit in their home. If not one; several. I have (3) for now and we are thinking of buying one more for my home office space and then maybe one for the basement. :) I feel better and I thank you Life cell purifier for making us all feel better."

Returned Two Units
Pros: cleaned the air noticably.. when they ran
Cons: both units returned- for the same defect!
"Seemed to work well during the time both units ran. Unfortunately, after retuning one unit, the 2nd replacement unit also didn't run properly. Both units would not run consistently on the lowest fan setting (clean) - the motor would stall out and could not turn the fan. Other fan speeds worked fine. However, this meant we could not run the unit in auto mode. Very disappointing."

The machine works but a little noisy

"I read all the good reviews before I bought it. Many reviews said it works QUIETLY. I bought the first one, returning it in two days because of the noise. And tried the second, the noise level is same as the first one. I gave up and kept it, turning it off before sleep. Not completely satisfied on it."

"I ordered this unit for our bedroom. My wife has some breathing problems and I wanted to cut down on the dust . The unit was packed well and with the directions was up and running quickly. The fan was loud and had a rubbing sound right off the bat. Way to loud . I called customer service, they agreed it was to loud.

Was good for a couple months...
Pros: - different control options, - the air was a lot better (ie. it works)
Cons: - very bright display you can't shut off, - auto mode would freak us out when we were sleepi, - no online info on system or company, - expensive replacements
"I had this item for a couple months - bought it online.
They forgot to include the remote control so they sent me one that was obviously not new at all.
Then the bulbs went out after 2 weeks, they sent me new ones.
Now, after 4 months, the fan is gone. I checked everything, the fan just won't turn on.
I'm going to attempt to return it and get something else."

Immediately notice a difference. Most of the time it is on the quiet mode. I have it in the bedroom for now. When I was using Pledge for dusting it immediately reacted by increasing the speed & then returning to quiet a few minutes later. It does the same when my little dog enters the room & when I am cooking in the kitchen."

Almost perfect
Pros: worth the money
Cons: minor design flaws
"Works very well. The blue outermost filter layer turns a light brown after a couple of weeks, showing how much dirt this thing will trap. Dust settling on furniture is greatly reduced with this filter on. It's fairly quiet - enough so that my wife, who likes a very quiet bedroom, isn't bothered by it on "silent". It's not "silent" but it is quiet. The only downsides are the silly front design and the short life UV lamps. To remove and clean the filters the front panel comes off, but there's nowhere to slide a finger behind it to pull it off so they ship a little plastic tool to pry it off. That's great but there's nowhere on the unit to store the tool. Guess how long it takes to lose it? Both UV lamps in mine died within a month. I bought replacements and they've been in for a week. If they die early I'll be taking this unit back in case it's defective. The lamps should last a year, I believe."

Excellent Device

"I have owned this air filter for several months. Although initially the machine put off a smell (probably lubricant), the smell has disappeared. It has functioned flawlessly and has made a noticeable difference in the air quality in my home.
The build quality of the device is obvious. The filter element has a very large surface area and sits quite well inside the machine. When removing the element I notice no visible sediment in the machine behind the air filter, meaning there is no real sediment leakage around the filter. The fan is surprisingly quiet when on the low and medium settings (of course it makes noise on the highest setting, but that is expected). The fan motor is shows signs of being of excellent quality...it takes nearly 30 seconds for the fan motor to (silently) come to a stop, showing that the motor has very little friction. The electronic interface is also well designed and modern, right down to the chimes it makes.
The sensors actually seem to work. As an experiment, I quickly passed a mould sample in front of the filter in auto mode, and almost immediately the dust sensor sensed it and raised the fan speed. After a few minutes, it slowed down again. I'm not sure what the volatile gas sensor is sensing, however.
I am also happy that costco is stocking replacement filters.
The only negative I can see is that the light on the main button is extremely bright, and it might keep some people awake at night.
Overall I highly recommend this machine."

"I've had this for only a couple of weeks but notice a difference already, no complaints so far. My only issue was whether or not to sign up for the lifetime replacement filters, but they are less expensive to buy here rather then from the manufacturer. I just hope they remain available from Costco.ca"

Great Air Purifier
Pros: fresh air without spraying chemicals around., removes odours doesn't just cover them up.
Cons: wish replacement filters were cheaper., dimmable lights would be nice.
"Have had the Asept for a few months now, and it does a great job. As others have mentioned here, I was initially put off by a faint odour emitted by the product. (I've been told it's an Ozone smell (?) ... by non-experts, and have noticed it much worse with electrostatic type filters.) However, DON'T return it right away .. the smell goes away after a few days, and hasn't returned.
Sometimes it seems like it is stuck in a higher fan mode, but perhaps it is detecting something my nose isn't. It always ramps down eventually."

Not a good product
Pros: seems to work well on air purification
Cons: noisy when fan is on high, air blows out of the top & blows dust around, bulbs didn't last long
