Garmin Quality

Pros: lots of great features
Cons: slow to calculate your route
"This GPS has a lot of great features. I'm a truck driver and use it for work and also for RVing. I like the fact that it warns you of curves and steep hills ahead. You can also set it to show you the percent grade of the steeper hills which is useful when traveling in the mountains. The only downside is that it sometimes is very slow to calculate out your route."

Finally a Garmin with video in for back-up camera

Pros: video input !!!, truck rv and car routing, altitude display
Cons: display not quite as good as the nuvi units but ok
"I wanted to put a backup camera in our SUV, but did not have room for a dedicated display. I thought combining a GPS with video display for the backup camera was a great idea, until I tried looking for a GPS with video input. Magellan has some units, but Magellan displays are terrible - you cannot see them in the sun. Garmin had a Model 5000 unit, but it has been out of production for at least a year. So when I heard there was a new unit, I jumped at the chance to try it. The fact that it is intended for trucks & RVs is perfect, since we often pull a house trailer, so the truck routing should be ideal.
The 5" display is not quite a bright as our Nuvi 1490, but still fine, and off axis visibility is not quite as good either, but as long as it is facing the driver, it is fine. The routing is fast and accurate so far (we are using it in car mode right now), and the screen info is great, just down the right side, instead of on the bottom, like the Nuvi unit. I actually like this better, since road info off to the side is not as important as the vertical info, and with the extra info at the side, there is more room for the road path display. Updating the software & maps was completely painless using the Garmin Updater on my laptop.
I am just about to install a wireless backup camera that replaces one of the license plate lights just like the factory camera VW uses (we have a Tiguan), so I will have to review the video input aspect later.
At this point we are very pleased."

"M a long haul truck driver and found this product pretty useful for non truck and truck routes dan ny other truck gps.
Do buy it for trucking and this product is worth.
Even I used this in Montreal where low bridges and non truck routes are difficult to find. It helps

Not a good experiance

"Received the dezl unit yesterday. Very quick delivery. Took it out of the box and turned it on. Up comes "Garmin". Proceeded to plug it in to charge it and screen went to black. Left on charge all day and still no activity from unit. Consequently, I took it back after having it only 23 hours. Would appear an internal fuse may have gone but who knows? The down side to any Canadian trucker is that the unit still does not support Canadian log requirements but there are still high points for RVers, coach drivers and truckers. The nuvi 2460 may appeal to those who want 5" image, Bluetooth and junction views etc. and is less expensive."
