Excellent product!

Pros: simple to learn and operate.
Cons: did not come with bag.
"I give my 16 year old daughter this camera for last Christmas and she is enjoying it. Did her school project (Yearbook) and this camera took specific pictures that nobody in her class could get. Great price for the professional quality you get."

Great Value

"I purchased this produce for my daughter who has taken nearly 800 pictures with it already and they are fabulous. She says it is easy to operate, including focus, lens change etc. The price was certainly right for what you get in value for such a camera"

Perfect

Pros: great pictures in all conditions, excellent battery life.
"This camera feels perfect in my hands. I took nearly 800 pictures and still had plenty
of battery life left. It takes great pictures and you can leave it on auto or have fun messing around with the settings. Of which there are a ton.

Picture Perfect

Pros: price, weight, battery life
Cons: kit lens
"This camera offers a wide spectrum of features. Point and shoot enthusiasts will love the results. Manual photographers will have to learn a few buttons and menus, and will be rewarded with great shots for their efforts. The "Q" button is the secret to navigating the on-screen menu. Manual shoot offers a quick wheel to change the shutter speed, but you'll have to hold down the "AV +/- trash" button while simultaneously spinning the wheel to change the aperture setting. It's the same wheel/button combo for exposure compensation in other modes.
I graduated from film SLR to a Canon G5, then to this T3 DSLR and I am very pleased with the upgrade. I'm able to utilize some of the Canon menu and navigation from the G5, and with a little help from the pdf version of the manual, I quickly acquainted myself with the M, Av, Tv, & P settings. The 8 basic modes are self-explanatory. The "A-DEP" automatic depth-of-field setting is just more icing on the cake.
At this price point it's a bonus that the camera shoots video. "Entry-level" DSLR cameras are a strange breed: avid photographers bemoan their lacklustre features, while point and shoot graduates are offered many features that they will probably never use. A good photographer can take great shots with an old Pentax K1000 + an appropriate lens, and this T3 offers the same performance potential at a very reasonable price, plus it's point and shoot results are fabulous. A lens upgrade is recommended, but it's not mandatory."

Best Digital Camera for the Money

Pros: best camera for the money
Cons: spare batteries are hard to find..
"My friend and I each purchased this camera bundle at the local Costco store.. I have a number of cameras, but I must say that this one is the very best that both of us have owned. It takes fabulous photos in all light conditions, and all are perfectly clear. The battery lasts a long time., I estimated that one can get 700-800 photos per charge, however I always charge up before going photo hunting.. This is truly a good camera.."

Very Impressed!

Pros: no one beats the costco price
"Excellent camera. Crystal clear photos. We also own the Canon XSi, but the video feature is a selling point on the T3. The ability to freeze one frame during the video allows for the perfect shot that might otherwise get away, and no need to constantly swap between still and video cameras for each subject. Beautiful camera also fits all our other canon lenses, including EOS Film type cameras. There are no 'cons' for this camera. The quality and versatility is amazing. We definitely recommend this one to all our friends. Worth every penny."
