Great unit

Pros: price, ease of use, style
"I bought this unit through a friends memebership...It was priced right and works like a dream. I never had any issuse with it as some of the others had...I think it was user error?"

Does not evaporate water properly

Pros: cools in moderate heat with low humidity
Cons: does not evaporate water in humid temperatures
"This air conditioner worked fine when I first got it. This past weekend was very hot/humid where I live, and I got an error on the screen saying "HL". After consulting the manual, it told me that this meant I had to empty water from the unit, which I am not supposed to have to do. I emptied 1.5L of water out, and turned it back on. The manual states if this happens repeatedly to call DeLonghi. After another hour of operation, I had to empty another 1.5L... etc. I called customer service and they told me to bring the unit in to one of their repair places locally but this seemed like a hassle since I don't think the unit can be repaired, I just think it functions poorly by design. I believe the problem with this unit is the fact that it only has 1 exhaust/intake hose. Similar units that evaporate the water have one to intake new air, and one to exhaust. I think when it was very hot/muggy that the unit just couldn't keep up. I returned it to Costco without issues and purchased a new air conditioner somewhere else that has the 2 hoses."
