Does not evaporate water properly

Cons: does not evaporate water in humid temperatures
"I purchased this air conditioner as I liked the idea of it evaporating the water outside, and not requiring me to dump it. It worked fine for June and some of July as we had cooler temperatures than normal this year. Then we had a weekend where it was very humid, when I really needed the air conditioner on, and every 45 minutes it would shut itself off telling me I had to dump the water. This cycle went on for a few hours where I was extracting 1.5L of water from the machine every 45 mins to an hour. In the manual it says if this happens repeatedly to contact the manufacturer. I did this, and they didn't do any sort of troubleshooting or ask me any questions, they just told me to bring it in to one of their authorized dealers who may not do home service. I don't think the unit was malfunctioning, I think by design it just can't handle evaporating the water at the more humid temperatures as it only has one hose connected to the window to handle both the intake of new air, and output of the evaporated water. When the high humidity hit this A/C simply could not keep up. I've since returned it and brought a unit with 2 hoses (one for intake and one for output) and it's functioning great. At warm temperatures without humidity this A/C worked okay, but it's performance in temperatures when I really needed it was disappointing."

Excellent

"My mother bought this type of Water to Air
DeLonghi ten years ago. It worked like a charm. The newer one that I have just purchased is quieter and the new technology prevents the build up of scaling. It cools fast and very efficient. Very good air conditioner for the money. It is extremely solid and well manufactured.

Poor for large surfaces

Pros: easy to install, easy to use, cools small areas
Cons: expensive for what it does, always needs to work full blast, does not cool large areas
"I bought this unit for colling down my condo. It wouldn't cool it lower than 25 degrees when it was cold outside. I saw no change in temperature unless I was in the livingroom. I don't recommend this product unless your goal is to cool a very small room."

Worst purchase

"I bought this air conditionner and it is not worth it. It does not cool very much. I do not recommend it to anyone."
