Great machine
"I've had 4 Bissel's in the past 4 years as we have a blind dog with a weak bladder along with 2 messy boys. The soap clogs up in the Bissel's and it costs 150 to get them cleaned out, regardless they still die in a few months from the soap clogging up again. This Hoover machine has all ready proven it's superior just in the fact that it's far easier to clean and maintain. It does a great job and really sucks up the water and dirt. I'd recommend this to anyone with pets and kids."

"this is very easy to use.
I had a kid that did a numer one on a matress a couple of time, I try the whole machine on the bed like if it was a carpet, it clean the matress like new.
my little dog was sick and made quite a mess, it clean it , you could not see any mark left, it is better then the big carpet cleaning machines."

Amazing...
"I contemplated having a company come out and clean my carpets, but I am way too busy! I have cleaned almost every carpet in my house and was so impressed with the results! The machine is easy to use and clean, lightweight and does an excellent job. I used HOT tap water and the solution. I couldn't believe the dirt that came out!! Now all of my friends want to borrow it! Note.. I did have trouble finding the Hoover solution, but googled it and came up with a store in the neighbourhood. I'm sure any of the other carpet cleaning products would work!"

it doesn't heat the water at all. Overall it works fine, I'm just really disappointed that it implies it heats the water so your carpets dry faster. My little bissell green machine proheat even heats up the water."

Works well and easy to clean
Pros: easy to use, easy to fill, can see the dirty water being sucked up, easy to clean, attachment works well, great price, better than other more expensive machines
"This is a great steamvac. It is super easy to assemble, fill, empty, and clean. The brush works well on furniture too with the attachment. I didn't have the problem with emptying it too often; I have a 900sq foot carpeted apartment and I was able to get through with probably 2 fillings with some left over. I used my parents' bissell proheat 2x and the Hoover is a million times better and easier to use. It does a good job!"

Best Carpet Cleaner for the Price
"This is the best carpet cleaner for the price.. Gets the carpets clean.... And dry., like within 10-15 minutes.... Very good product... Used to have a Kenmore and it was nothing but trouble.. I would recommend this product for the ease of use and the cost.. Glad I made the purchase.."

Some pros, some cons
Cons: no separate solution and water tanks, need to remove upholstery attachment to empty tank
"I bought this to replace a Bissell machine that seemed to break every time I used it. The Hoover seems to work pretty well, but it does have some design shortcomings compared to the Bissell model I had gotten used to.
I've only used it a couple of times, so I can't comment on reliability, but in terms of features I see some issues:
- because you have to pre-mix the cleaning solution rather than having separate water and solution tanks, you may end up throwing out unused solution.
- another consequence of not having separate water and solution tanks is that there is no way to vary the concentration of solution being used while you are cleaning. You have to use a separate product to pre-treat high traffic areas.
-there is a third annoyance with the upholstery attachment. When the dirty water tank needs to be emptied, the attachment needs to be removed to allow the tank to be removed. You then have to reassemble it when the tank is put back in place.
I'll choose reliability over features. Let's hope that the Hoover delivers in the reliability department."

Seems like a hit and miss with these things
"I ordered my first Hoover less than 8 months ago. We were undergoing renovations at the time and I waited anxiously to try out my new gadget. About 3 weeks past the date of delivery I was FINALLY able to test it out. What a total disappointment! I followed the directions to a 'T' and immediately after starting to wash my first carpet; I was amazed/puzzled at how quickly I had run out of my water/solution. I assumed this was normal so I refilled the tank, added more solution and tried again - same thing happened again. I decided to check the carpet that I had gone over and was upset to find that it was extremely soaked. Obviously I received a faulty machine. I wasn't impressed with the overall construction of this machine. Cheap plastic parts used throughout. Needless to say, I opted to rent a Rug-Doctor and was content to see my carpets revived. Seems so common these days to find such inconsistencies with products of this sort."

Pays for itself on the first use
Pros: very practical machine, reasonable price
"The local independent vacuum store recommended this carpet cleaner over other brands and models. The machine did a great job. I was especially pleased with the drying time. It was easy to use on carpets and furniture, not a back-breaker like my last machine. The environmentalist in me was happy to see that it uses a minimal amount of water and detergent."

Excellent Value

"I had read the reviews and decided to order one of these, I wasn't disappointed, it works very well, has great suction and is easy to use. At first glance it seemed a little cheap, plastic... but it seems to work well, for the money I'm quite satisfied, it cleaned the carpets very well, bringing them back to life."

"This cleaner does a nice job of cleaning the carpets and a great job of getting the water out of the carpets. The name is a little misleading as the base heats up but it doesn't heat the water and create steam. I think I may purchase a spin brush to attach to the handheld nozzle to be able to get a deeper clean on the stairs, upholstery, etc. Overall, I would buy this product again and I'm quite pleased with it."

"This product works, it does a better job drying the carpet than my old Bissel that lasted for 2 years.
Unfortunately the advertisement is misleading indicate that it comes with a "Power-hand tool" which is nothing but a brush on your hand tool, so don't expect a motorized or turbine style hand tool"

Excellent Purchase
"This is my second Hoover Steam Cleaner and I am not dissappointed. New features on this machine are are great. It did an excellent job on my carpets and was easy to clean up after the job was done. I had my old machine for about 16 years."

Wonderful Machine

"I was very impressed with the performance of this machine. It cleaned very very well and did not leave my carpets too soaked. My carpets dried in about 3 hours. Great product and it is not as expensive as other manufacturers."
