Well engineered

Pros: quality of material and hardware is excellent., very well designed, looks great. very stylish and high end., very roomy., love the skylights and windows
Cons: don't erect this on a windy day., takes 2 people.
"This is one of the best designed products of its size I have ever put together.
To get the best results start with a good base, level and solid.
From there follow the instructions to the letter and don't jump or skip steps.
I had no missing parts and every bag, be there many, are well marked.
Make sure you don't overtighten the screws.
I recommend reading the instructions a couple of times before getting started. Take your time and get someone to help you. The blocks of wood they give you do come in handy so don' t throw them away.
Don ' t get upset installing the shutters there are dimples in the interior wall to guide you with the screw possitioning.

Very good shed, prompt delivery

Pros: looks good not too long to assemble
Cons: instructions long but still easy to figure out
"I ordered this shed, and it showed up about 3 days later. Put in Garage for about 1 month as was still snow out back, Made base level and for drainage with 1/2" crushed stone. then had some new treated hardwood pallets on hand, so used them as a base.
Read though the instructions that came with it, but found the 92 page one printed out from Lifetime web site a bit more informative, a bit more info but the other one ws still sufficient. a few minor issues missing, but still kind of easy to figure out. I took it real slow, read through instructions, assembled the frame portions before starting the whole project, put up walls and few portions of roof one day. Then did most of the rest the next day. (Note when putting up walls need a friend to hold them steady and click in the floor portion was a bit difficult but not too bad, it is very flimsy until once you put a few end panels of the roof on then its much more sturdy. Once all up with the steel trusses and all roof panels, it its very sturdy.
I have one issue is my windows came with scratches on them one had no protective plastic on one side, very scratched up, and other one a bit scratched but not too bad, will contact lifetime to see if they will send me some new ones. However all in all very happy with it, still have to put up the shelves and window shades but will get around to that real soon
Looks great, sturdy, and way nicer than some of the wooden ones I see and almost double the price in the hardware stores around here. I would have given it 4.5 stars due to the scratched windows, but its still a very good purchase so still 5 stars from me

Fantastic shed

"This is a great product, insofar as you have 2 (preferably 3) pals and family
members to assist you - or a contractor, if you don't.
It is very easy to install this shed, however, there are minor things that can take
a very long time (an entire day to figure out) if you are jumping the instructions.
- the lock mechanism
- the doors and their assembly
- the alignment of the 2 doors together
- the roof metal structure.
I would suggest doing this assembly on 3 or 4 days, or 3 weekend afternoons
for example.
Prior to the assembly, I would suggest investigating the base of the shed, and
how you will handle that. Cement is overkill, and will crumble in sub-zero temperatures
often in Canada and in the Northern most parts of the USA.
I suggest a rock, sand and gravel base with a hydraulic compactor used to
really get the rock into the mud, earth and base for longevity. I suggest 12 or 16
pre-cast 4-way Dek block's that are ready for 2 x 6 treated outdoor wood supports
that are 8 feet long, and a plywood base, as indicated in the instructions.
Getting the base even on all sides, is a professional-level task, in terms of
necessity in getting it right. If this step fails, the assembly of the shed most likely
will fail. It is not particularly complicated to prepare the base.
Next, concerning anchoring the vinyl surface, unlike the instructions, it is preferable
to use a bolt and nut of the same (rather than a screw), which is 3/8 from what
I recall.
Next, assemble the metal roof-top structures, and also lay out all the parts exactly
as seen in the 90 pages manual (which I suggest be printed out from the website
at LIFETIME and binded together on the side, for ease in flipping through the pages.)
The walls are very ease to get going, not by pushing down, but by holding down,
and then, an assistant using a wedge provided in the box, to push up, so it snaps
into place.
I would suggest having a 2 x 4 piece of wood that's 4 feet long, to use and a heavy
hammer or mallet to tuck the roof pieces together at times, with pressure but
not causing damage to the plastic.
Never use an electrical screwdriver ...it's a kid-gloves groove on each part that
can turn into butter if a power tool is used, irreversibly, otherwise.
Be sure to purchase a padlock (not included) to lock your shed when done.
Perhaps I'm the only one at the end not knowing what the 6 metal lengths were used
for that were 2 feet long... I finally figured out they were for roof support on each and
every panel. Also, mid-way on each of the 2 sides of the shed, a metal length is
placed, to support the long shelves mid-way, obviously.
I suggest getting a caulking gun to prevent water coming in over the entrance
where 2 foamy cubes are placed (insufficient to block water or snow), as well
in a couple of places elsewhere.
It is not necessary to remove the film from the windows, as it provides privacy
to the contents inside.
Lastly, do not hesitate in drilling into the 2 metal posts holding the 2 doors, from
the L-shaped metal bracket, as that will hold the 2 doors for longevity, as compared
to only getting held from the plastic arch overhead.
This shed, coupled with my Costco Husquvana-Honda lawn mower (that started on the first pull) boosts the Costco brand in my mind to the top."

Assembled

Pros: looks great
Cons: better instructions would make things go up faster
"Love the shed. It looks great and took about two days with two people. Getting a good solid and flat base done first is essential. I used 2X6's with 5/8th plywood. The instructions need work. I had problems finding matching letters that went with part bags and found that the word substitute was printed on some and some educated guessing was involved in what was substituted for what. However it is assembled now."

Love this shed!

"Read earlier reviews before purchasing and followed some of the recommendations i.e. Layout all parts to familiarize yourself with them before starting. I also used the instruction PDF downloaded from the Lifetime site. They actually were better than the enclosed instructions. Built most of the shed myself, but did call on neighbour to help with the roof, called 1 got 3. Site prep to ensure levelness was worth the time it took. Do all the research you want, but you would be hard pressed to find a better shed."

Fantastic Shed

"We can't say enough about this shed. It was easy to assemble, almost like lego! Directions were simple, everything aligned, it took us exactly how long to assemble as they said in directions. It looks beautiful inside and out.
Love it!
In addition, could not beat the price via Costco online. Shipping included. We even had an issue with shipping and Costco has been very accountable and persistent to help resolve the issue."

Worth the money, very happy

"Love this shed, but agree with others that the instructions need work. They are tough to follow but we got the job done. Make sure you have a good base which we did and lots of help. 4 people about 6 hours. We are happy with it and could build another one now alot quicker without instructions. But for the money spent we are happy and it looks great in our yard. Poured rain the next day and not one drop in the shed."

Beautiful Shed

Pros: good quality, great appearance, no maintenance
Cons: lots of prep work, lots of parts & screws
"Very pleased with the quality and appearance of this shed. It comes with shelves & hooks too. You must put the shed on a solid, level base. It would be ideal to have 4 adults to build the shed as it would make assembly much faster. You also need an assortment of tools (drill with phillips bit, pliers, wrenches, level, ladder, phillips screwdriver, measuring tape, etc.) to put this shed together. Open all 4 boxes to find your parts & organize your parts into piles. Not recommended to build this shed on a windy day as it makes building it much more challenging."

Nice Shed

Pros: all parts there!!!!
Cons: boxes are extremely heavy
"Good looking, structurally sound shed. Took wife and I 2 days to assemble (about 10 hours). This does not include the time I spent building the platform on 4X4 posts. Just not sure how much rain water will seep in between the plastic floor and the plywood subfloor. Might rot it out over time. If a problem I will start caulking between the aforementioned, and between the plastic walls and plastic floor."

Easy to assemble and pretty, too

"Having read the manual, I thought I’d try to do the job on my own. As it turned out, it took me just 10hrs to completely assemble this shed. Looks very nice, and the only question on my mind is how it’s going to withstand the test of time, in particular, if the screws won’t come loose. The only con I had so far was not with the shed, but with Costco’s choice of shipping companies, namely Sameday. I had to call them every day literally for a week after online tracking already indicated that the shipment has been delivered."

Lifetime Outdoor Shed 10x15

Pros: it is a very solid shed and very waterproof
Cons: adjusting the doors
"This is the third Lifetime shed I have built, my first time for an 8x15.
These are good sheds but they take a long time to build and each time, even though I had a very level surface, I had problems with the doors lining up or working properly.
The doors are something that should be engineered different so they can be adjusted without shimming the shed or playing around with lifting one corner, then the other. There must be a way to make these doors adjustable. It is very frustrating.

Excellent

Pros: great value good looking shed
Cons: installing shutters is a little bit of a pain
"This is some shed. Two people need to be working on it but it was actually fun.
The hardest work is making sure you have it sitting on the right footing for your needs.
Otherwise a real pleasure to look at, large and very roomy.

Excellent Purchase

Pros: easy to assemble
"Before purchasing I read the previous feedback and they were very helpful i.e. open all the boxes and organize the parts. My husband and I assembled it approx 8 hrs; I did some assembly but even the tightening of the screws were done by him. In the end it is a well utilized shed and it looks pretty."

Wise Purchase!

Pros: functional, quick & easy to construct
"Fantastic purchase. We're using this shed as a structure to house our well and sprinkler system.
Prepared site and got to work. In total it took perhaps a day and a half (less breaks) to complete. Snaps together like a large lego project. Extra's included make this shed even more functional: shelving, windows, etc."

Good Shed, lots of parts.

Pros: solid roomy large doors. cute
Cons: many pieces - can be somewhat overwhelming.
"This shed is well designed, good looking and a decent size. The side entry gives you lots of room on either side of the door. Do not attempt to build this unless you have lots of room to spread out the parts. There are a lot of pieces and they are scattered fairly randomly throughout the 4 large, heavy boxes. Aside from this, it really is a great shed."

Great shed

Pros: can be assembled by one person with a stepladder
Cons: the 4 boxes are very heavy
"What a great shed! It assembled beautifully, and no missing parts, what a treat. Pre-separating the parts helps to "learn" the structure pieces and makes it easier to understand the parts discussed in the assembly manual. It's imperative to follow the manufacturer's steps. It's also imperative to create a perfectly level substrate. Once I had created the level area it took me one afternoon to set-up the walls, trusses and main roof panels and the next afternoon to install the other smaller roof pieces and accessories. I assembled on a sunny day (the black plastic floor was nice and warm), I'll bet the wall pieces might be tough to click into the floor-slots on a cold day. It's good to have a second set of hands available if you're assembling on a windy day and also for the roof panel over the door. There are shimming instructions at the end of the manual in case the doors don't line up perfectly. Follow those instructions and wait a day or so. After some shimming the shed will miraculously self-align and the doors will be perfect, be patient, it takes time to adjust itself."

Great Garden Shed

"I purchased the 8X15 Garden Shed and this is a good shed.
I recommend that every box get opened and the items get grouped into sides, truss, roof, floor etc. This will allow some pre-assembly which can be done without help. Pre-assembly also forces you to review the instructions and get a sense of the order the shed is built. Once as much pre-assembly has been completed, which took a few hours, I got my son to help. With his help the shed was built in three hours - IE water tight. All the fine tuning can be done alone.
I am very happy with the shed, it looks great and easily cheaper then a wood shed."

Looks Good and Good Value

Pros: looks good no paint
"I also purchased the 8x10 model and so did my father inlaw. I built my shed with no help and it took me a day and a half after already having the base from my old shed. This shed doesn't build itself, everything you need to know is in the instructions. When I helped my father inlaw build his on his deck we started at 8am and were done at 3pm, we also had an hour for lunch in there too. After being familiar with the instructions and the parts it took no time to put together. Having 2 people speeds things up and makes it easier. 1 roll of butyl tape was in bad shape and difficult to use but all other issues were minor to solve. I would recommend this shed, it will make the wife happy."
