Ideal for a garden application where you want to install a waterfall or fountain. This submersible pump is easy to install into a pond. Dual purpose - works great 1 year later

Pros: still going strong
Cons: impossible to find a hose that will fit discharge, a bit powerful for small pond
"This is a great pump that serves a dual purpose - it is used to power the waterfall and to also drain the water off the pool cover. We have a very small garden pond (8 ft. x 4 ft. x 2 ft deep) and it works well with the waterfall; but initially, the sound of it coming off the waterfall was more like rushing water than the trickling water I wanted to achieve. This was easily dampened in two ways: 1st by using an adaptor to make the output hose bigger and 2nd by placing rocks infront of the discharge hose to break-up the water to further reduce the noise. Now we have a calming, relaxing waterfall sound. The other issue is finding hose diameter that will fit over the discharge of the pump. It seems to be an odd size and pond tubing is either too small or two big. To drain the pool I had to rig something up to attach the pool vacuum hose to it and that worked. For the pond waterfall I had to use a plastic hose that I could heat-up and manipulate to fit over the discharge. I have been to many pond dealerships, garden centres, and big box hardware store and no one can find me a hose that will fit over the discharge. Other than that, this pump works really well."

good investment

Pros: reliable
Cons: none
"Had this Pump for three years now without any trouble. It starts working in the pond at the beginning of May, up to the end of November and it never fails. Had in the past, very expensive pumps and every few week,it needed to be clean.
I have been worried free since this pump was install, no fuss at all.
Very good investment.

Excellent pump

Pros: great value, quiet, high g.p.m.
Cons: none
"My $400 waterfall pump from the landscape dealer died after 1.5 seasons of use, and they wanted $400 to replace it.
This pump has the same specs for a third the price - I was a bit scepticle. It's been in underwater pumping 24/7 for 5 months now without a problem. It's quiet, and keeps working - that's all I ask. I'm very pleased with the purchase and am trying to figure out how the 'specialty' waterfall pumps justify their price.
Excellent value
