Great speakers at an awesome price
Pros: excellent sound, low cost, more-than-decent appearance
Cons: surrounds lack binding posts, 6 ohm rating might not work with your receiver
"This is an excellent set of speakers. While I have heard speakers that sound better, they cost at least five times as much. When paired with a subwoofer, most people will be more than satisfied with this purchase."

For the money, very good.
Pros: good value, good sound from the mains
Cons: center and surrounds do not match the mains
"The floorstanding speakers sound quite good, with deep lows and crystal clear highs. The highs are a bit emphasised and the mids scooped, which sounds great at typical low to medium listening levels (look up loudness curve), but may be a bit too much at loud levels.
The center and surrounds, however, are poorly matched to the mains: the mids are much more prominent while the highs are lacking.
If you're handy with a soldering iron, this can be significantly improved by modifying the center and surround crossovers. There is a 3.3 Ohm resistor in series with the center tweeter (it's 4.7 Ohm for the surrounds). This resistor reduces the tweeter level (why did they do this??). Just bypass it (solder a piece of wire across it), and you'll get much better highs in the small speakers, almost matching the big ones. While you're at it, you might want to stuff the speaker enclosures with some polyester filler (there's none inside).
All in all, very good value for the money after the mod, but I was unhappy with the small speakers before.

Jamo Rocks
"I got my Jamo 5.0 couple of weeks back. This system is well worth its price. Its certainly not the best but for its price it is the best. Fantastic sound for movies. For Music I am cutting off 1 star but for its price I have no complains. The sound is acceptable. You certainly will need a Bass. I have klipsch 110 and Yamaha V671. great combination. Shake the whole house. True cinema experience. Recommended to buy."

Pros: good sound quality, nice build and finish
"Bought these based on fact I could not find a bad review anywhere. I was skeptical on quality versus price. However I'm More than satisfied with sound and product quality. They sound great whether watching movies or listening to music,and also look good. I have them hooked up to Yamaha RX-V571 receiver and added a powered sub-woofer.
Just make sure your receiver can handle 6 ohms and set accordingly.

Very pleased - great purchase...

"Gotta say, quite pleased with this set!
I was looking for speakers for my new home theatre set-up but also something to replace an old (but excellent) and *large* set of speakers I've had since Pink Floyd's "The Wall" was in the Top-10! So, needless-to-say, besides the Home Theatre use I was also looking for something that could handle an evening of armchair Rock-n-Roll too. These seem to fit the bill.
Having tossed the old speakers I was left with a 10" SW and a nice set of Cerwin Vega bookshelfs. The Jamo set really put things over the top. The wife is quite pleased too!
Build Quality? Some have mentioned concern there, but they seem fine to me.
If there's a complaint, then it's really minor - I was short-changed on the adhesive rubber pads for the two bookshelf and the centre speaker (no prob, had some spares in the workshop that took care of that...). Also, I was a bit iffy RE the 6 Ohm rating - but my amp seems to be handling it fine so far!
Price was great, sound is great, I'm a happy camper....now, where did I put that Pink Floyd LP ???"

Good value
Pros: good sound, good looking, low cost
Cons: lightweight, weak center
"This is a low cost, entry level speaker system for a budget minded consumer or for a secondary bedroom setup. They sound fairly good and look great. The bass is limited without a subwoofer and the center speaker is relatively weak. Voices in 5.1 movie soundtracks sound somewhat anemic and disconnected from the soundstage. A subwoofer should be your first upgrade and maybe eventually, a better center speaker."

Wonderful Value
"Great set to compliment a good receiver. The sound is clean, and the speakers deliver to specs. Jamo is a division of Klipsch, and the quality is inherent in this brand. Use without a sub-woofer will be a matter of taste. Without a sub-woofer, the bass is passive, but is entirely satisfactory for many listeners. If you wish your bass to be explosive, add a sub-woofer with low frequency effect capability. The cross-over frequency of the speakers is quite condusive to most quality subs on the market."

Great starter set, unbeatable price
Pros: unbeatable price for the set, great sound, great starter set.
Cons: bass is a bit weak.
"After reading lots of reviews for Klipsch/Polk/Bose/Jamo/Sony speakers, I decided to try this set. Great, clear, sound (combined with with Pioneer VSX820 receiver). You'd need to purchase a set with >$1000k to beat the sound quality of this set, anything less would be same or worse.
Reasonably good looking. Towers are on the smaller side compared to other brands and models, which is something that I actually like. Bass is on the weaker side, I've purchased a subwoofer to compensate, awesome sound now from music to action movies to games."

Nice speak set
Pros: good price, good sound, average looking & sharp
Cons: kind of cheap material
"Before my purchase, I did a little bit research online. this set of speaker is a hot deal in the price range. I didn't identify any big difference comparing to my old expensive set. but, the material of the speakers is kind of cheap. however it's a good idea if putingt them in the dark AV basement. You cann't see a lot on the details. and they sound well with bass box."

Good speakers for Great Price
Pros: price, quality
Cons: bass, overall size, looks
"Speakers sound good as expected. Not very much bass coming from these bad boys but for the price you can't complain. I found these are a little too small (looks wise) for my downstairs projector setup.
Since these speakers don't put out that much bass they should last forever.
Also, they look kind of cheap compared to what I've seen. Mostly the speakers aren't as glamorous as lets say Polk or Klipsch."

Amazing set of speakers

"Jamo. What is that? Now I know. These are one of the best speakers yet the pricing is so affordable. You may argue about the look and size and so on, but the sound clarity is indisputable. Only one thing that I cannot say about it is how long are they going to last. That will need to wait and see."

Excellent sound! Fast Delivery

"I added these speakers to a Pioneer VSX520 receiver and I have to say that the audio clarity is amazing!! Whether watching movies or listening to music they really sound great. I also have a PSB subwoofer and I would highly recommend adding a powered sub as this system does not put out heavy bass. Definitely worth the money though! Extremely fast shipping!! Thank you Costco and UPS."

Excellent for the price
"I purchased these as speakers for my other other entertainment area, but after hearing them I moved them to my primary entertainment area. I found they are excellent for music listening and good for movies but you can change that to great if you add a subwoofer.
I moved my Polk speakers to my secondary area, but left the sub with these and it is a great combo for movies and gaming."

Jamo always the Best!
Pros: transparent and very clear sound, dosn't need expensive receiver
Cons: no subwoofer, no rear surround speakers
"They are excellent mid range speakers for the price. Lack of low frequency easy compensated with sub woofer ( I am using Klipsh Sub10. Most important they are crisp and clear and very defined and transparent mids. Sounds like Celestion but way less expensive."
