Pros and Cons

Pros: converts easily from trailer to stroller, quick easy attach/detachment from bike hub, smooth ride for both child and bicycle rider, lots of amazing features!
Cons: too wide for door!, too wide for the bus!
"This trailer is by far the best purchase I have EVER made. It converts from trailer to stroller with extreme ease and my daughter absolutely adores travelling in it. This trailer has changed my life and I would highly recommend it! Top quality and comfort!!"

Don't forget to fill the tires with air:)

"I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller. I noticed for the first week of owning it, however, that the small front tire would wobble when I used it as as stroller. I called Dorel and during our conversation was advised that the tires are only partially inflated during shipping. They are to be filled with air when you assemble the stroller. I checked the tire pressure and it was only at 15 PSI. It should have been between 45-60 PSI. Once I filled the tires to the required PSI the wobble was gone!"

Good Value!

Pros: sturdy and well built, price!
Cons: wobbly front wheel when jogging, selt belts takes a bit of effort to adjust
"I was looking at the Chariot brand (which all of our friends seem to have) and found the reviews on this InStep. Decided to give it a try for 1/3 the price of a Chariot and know that I made the right decision.
My 2 year old daughter loves it and her 2 yr old cousin does as well when we jog over to their place. The two kids can sit comfortably in the stroller.
So far I have only used this for jogging and I find that the small front wheel can get very wobbly. It's a balance/weight issue that is okay at walking speed but once I pick up some speed, it wobbles and makes me work to keep the stroller in line.
I plan to try it out with the bike next year so the front wheel will not be an issue."

Best trailer/stroller on the market!

Pros: safe, comfortable, converts, quality
"This trailer is absolutely amazing. I love how easy it is to convert to a stroller, now anywhere we go outside I used this stroller because my child is fully protected from bugs or rain. On the bike you hardly feel it there (but you know it is). The safety of it is great and there is a lot of safety backups just in case. The only thing for us is we just got a smaller car so the stroller doesn't fit. Also it easily converts from a 2 child stroller to 1 in just 2 clicks! I love how my son is so comfortable in this stroller.
You will not regret this buy, absolutely the best trailer/stroller and specially for the price!"

EXCELLENT vs Chariot brand

Pros: compact folding, nice design, roomy interior
Cons: tow bar a little flimsy
"We required a double chariot since we sold our single chariot a few weeks ago. After realizing that a double chariot brand would cost us in upwards of 1200.00 we researched the In step. After reading all the reviews, we decided to purchase. IT is amazing for a fraction of the cost. The design is well thought out and practical. It folds down and will fit in my trunk unlike the chariot. The tow bar also folds underneath the frame with ease. The rain guard is secured with a zipper with no flapping or leaks. Many pockets and cup holders as well. IT is very easy to tow and does turn into a stroller within seconds. VERY impressed with this purchase and so thankful we did not spend over 1000 on the chariot double."

Great product

"I have looked for a good quality bike trailer for awhile. It is quite pricey. Therefore, I have hold off to buy until I found this. I read the reviews and it had excellent review. So I decided to buy. Once I got it, we took our 1 year old son for a ride. We all love it. My son had so much fun and the seat is so comfortable. We made a good decision. It worth every penny."

Won't disappoint

"Sturdy, well-made, easy to use.
It's not mentioned, but it also comes with the attachments to convert it to a stroller. Also, I have a pretty big 21 month toddler and he fits fine in the middle position. He'll be using the side position in a few months when the youngest is old enough."

So happy I was told about this!

Pros: folds up fairly flat (for being a double stroller), easy to maneuver, wheels are secure but come off easy
Cons: takes a bit of force to click open after unfolding
"We purchased the InStep after asking other moms in a group I belong to what they would suggest for twins. Had several recommendations, but this one stood out! As soon as I got it, I fell in love! It was super easy to finish the assembly, it glides like a dream and the kids fit in there perfectly! But my favorite is how small it folds up! The tires come off easily and the rest folds smaller than my other double stroller. I can easily fit both strollers in my van when it's folded up (with all the other gear too). I have been stopped several times already in the two weeks I have had it and each time referred them to Costco online."

I'm in Awe!

Pros: easy to convert from jogger to trailer, directions are actually helpful!, rain cover easy to use, quick and easy to assemble, can't even tell your towing something!, excellent around corners, comfortably holds two children, tons of storage for water food clothes etc
Cons: only comes with one bike hitch, handle doesn't extend outwards/upwrds for tall ppl, took over a week to get here
"My husband and I originally purchased a Voyager bike trailer from a bike shop for more than twice the price of the instep. Long story short, we returned it for many reasons...was really disappointed.
We got our Instep today and I have already ridden 20K with my 10 month old!!!! I. can. not. believe. how amazing this product is!
Went and picked up my 19 month old niece and both children fit comfortably in this carrier and they were easy to pull.
After comparing this with our first purchase this one wins hands down!"

Very well made

"Very happy with this purchase, a two in one product makes it even better, great quality. Just used it once so far, but it felt safe for my kids (13mos & 3 yr) and safe while riding with it attached."

Amazing trailer and stroller

"We looked at ALL the current options but this had all the things we wanted PLUS.
It is great as a bike trailer, but also as a stroller, it is like I'm not pushing anything at all, except if we are going up a hill with my 40 pound 2 year old ;)
The key feature to this model is the meshed-in cover, so you can be sure you child is getting air (have you seen other ones people have, closed on a HOT day and I get worried for the little ones' temperature!) but also know your child can't chuck things out in your stroll or bike ride, this is HUGE!"

Thank you Costco & Instep!

"This is a really impressive product. My 2 year old & I love our new Joyrider! Even after reading all the good reviews before purchasing I was still in awe of the quality of this trailer for the price. Solid construction, easy to tow or push, comfortable ride for the child, & well planned details. Quality zippers, pocket for attached front wheel socket cap, easy to use & stow trailer hitch, tinted rain cover, seat adjusts easily, safety fastener on mesh enclosure to keep it from popping open while towing, flexible trailer hitch to prevent tipping, large storage pockets fit bike locks & portable air pump plus more, real tire on front wheel instead of plastic wheel. I think the only detail I would add to this unit is a strap to keep the trailer in a folded position while lifting or transporting it.
Of course as others have mentioned getting through doors is a challenge due to being sized for two children but for getting in & out of the house/storage shed it folds up quickly & is light enough to carry through the door.
I have used this as both a bike trailer & walking stroller with one child (not jogging yet). It handles well & is hardly noticeable behind my bike. I live in a hilly community & even on slopes it is easy to tow or push. I am also fortunate to have the Trans Canada trail just a few blocks from my house but I have not yet tried it on the old rail bed due to the spring rain. Overall this is an excellent bang for your buck!

Pros: easy to use, easy to push, good price
"we love this bike trailer! We have only used it for strolling so far, but it is so easy to push and our daughter loves it because she can actually see outside. Very easy to fold and put in car, very spacious and every detail was thought about when this was designed!! Everything has a place so that when you go on a trip you have all the attachements with you in case you decide to stroll or bike! Great buy and also great price! We had looked at the chariots but thought they were too expensive. This turned out to be the best one we could have bought. love it."

No need to spend the extra $$ on the Chariot.

Pros: fantastic rain/mesh cover that seals all around, large wheels that can handle any terrain, well made looks sharp, smooth rubber tires, stroller caddy included
Cons: seat does not recline
"I purchased this for my 4 year old and 7 month old. I took them on a long trail walk today and was impressed with the quality of this stroller. It handles effortlessly on muddy trails, bumps, grass, up and down hills, etc. Although it's heavy folded, it is very lightweight and surprisingly easy to push with the kids in it.
The rain/mesh cover is one of the best I've seen. It is built into the stroller and secures tightly above the front wheel. It keeps the kids, dry, cozy and warm inside the caccoon. My only with is that they had built the seat to recline, even a little. Otherwise, I could recommend this to anyone considering it. I personally feel it's just as good as the Chariot and only half the cost!"

Fantastic Purchase

"This has been an excellent purchase for my family. We have loved it as a stroller and jogger so far. Only had two rides on the bike with it but both times where great. I have been using the stroller wheel as the jogger wheel and it has worked really well. Rides smoothly without a lot of bumping as you run. Both my son and daughter are comfy strapped in together with lots of room. The wheels are easy to take off and on when putting it in the back of a car and it folds down quite flat. Rain cover is very easy to put on and take off in a moments notice, which is nice here in NS!"

Great value for money

"Bought this mainly for a jogging stroller with intentions to use as bike trailer in the future. Extremely simple to set up out of box, just pop in the wheels and away you go. Very lightweight and agile and much easier to maneuver than my other double stroller. Good for running but front wheel sometimes vibrates like a shopping cart wheel, however, this stroller is super light and easy to tip back a bit while running.
So far I love this product and am looking forward to getting much more use out of it.
