Great Quality

Pros: very well made and solid
Cons: a little narrow for dogs with large paws
"With 2 Bouviers both over 150lbs we needed something solid. This product is very sturdy. It is a little narrow for the dogs and that is taking some getting used to for them but far safer than trying to lift them or have them just jump out of the SUV"

Great ramp, couldn't survive without.

Pros: strong, stable, easy to use
"This ramp is so easy to use. I tore 4 disks in my back, and my dog had to have surgery at the same time. I have a 110 pound labradoodle who couldn't jump into my Murano. This ramp lays perfectly on the back and is stable on the road. My dog had no problem going up it the first time. Now he thinks its pretty neat. I could flip it open with one hand with no problems to my back! I just couldn't get him around without it!"

Good pet ramp

Pros: super stable, folds up easily, easy to clean
Cons: bulky to store and transport, too narrow
"Very secure, stable, easy to clean and the folding/locking feature is great. It is bulky to store and transport, so that is why 4 stars.
The ramp is a too narrow for large dogs and especially for a large dog with arthritis who does not walk in a straight line or who bunny hops rather than walks up stairs or inclines. It may also be an issue for a dog with peripheral or other vision problems.
We returned it and will build one that is wider but I would gladly buy this ramp again if it came in a larger size and would live with the extra bulkiness."

My big guy loves this

Pros: very sturdy
Cons: takes up a bit of space. not sure if i'll have ro
"I tried to follow the steps to get Cedar used to this. He refused to go anywhere near it while on the ground. Finally I just put it off the back hatch & he walked right down Very proudly I might add. Once he got used to it I introduced it for entering the car. No problem.
He weighs 120 lbs & feels no movement or bounce while on it.
No more lifting his arthritic butt into the car."

Pros: easy to use
Cons: none
"I have to say this is by far one if the best purchases we have made for our dog in the 12 yrs she has been with us. No more worries about our dog being able to get in or out of any vehicle. We would recommend this to all dog owners who drive or travel with there pets. We give it a 5 out of 5."

Great for large dogs!!!

Pros: great for large breeds
Cons: heavy and difficult to store/lugg around
"We bought this ramp, because we have a Rodesian Ridgeback same as the picture, they are large breed dogs with heavy chest and skinny backs, so a lot of stress on their front jumping in and out of the truck. Our dog hates change it takes him 3 weeks to enter the room once the Christmas tree is put up...so with a little patience and practice he has mastered the steps and now he walks up and down the step with no push...Great, Great product!!!"

Solid, works like a charm

Pros: stable, easy to use
Cons: no 'carry' handle
"Very stable with my 100lb dog, folds up nicely. I thought it seemed expensive for what it is, but most others are similarly priced. It's manageable in terms of weight and size, don't want it any smaller for large dogs."

Awesome

"It took my 95 lb German Shepherd about 10 minutes to figure it out. My yellow lab took a few days but she is older and is actually the one we bought it for. It is much easier on her hind legs. Love it!"

Accident saver

Pros: simple to use, takes strain/stress off dog and human, less chance of accidents
Cons: a bit pricy but worth it
"I purchased this for our Siberian Husky fur baby after he got cut in our truck trying to jump in. He required to be put under general anistetic and stiches/drains put in. $300 paid and multiple vet visits had to be done. Thus the savings to avoid such accidents again outweighs the price.
We just got the ramp last week and went to a reunion/camping since. I have to say this is by far one if the best purchases we have made for our dog in the 1 3/4 yrs he has been with us. We give it 2 thumbs and all all 4 paws up :)"

Great Product

Pros: great price/value
"Very sturdy, well built product; took some getting used to, but our big fella (newfi x) now waits for it to be put in place before getting in the truck; needless to say, way easier than boosting him in - safer too!!"

Durability ++++

Pros: light weight...durability..mutipurpose...
Cons: none
"My dogs are over 150lbs each. I bought one of these ramps years ago to assist getting them in and out of my Pick up Truck. It has been thrown around..bumped around and left out in the elements. It hasn't broken ..deteriorated..or rusted in any shape or form.
It also comes in handy for preventing stuff from rolling around the back of the truck when put on it.
Well hope this helps. Would buy again but unless it is stolen I won't have to worry about it.

Exceeded expections

Pros: sturdy easy to use all weather friendly
Cons: absolutely none
"Finding a ramp I felt would stand up to constant use by a 120 lb. Bullmastiff was becoming a challenge until I read the reviews on the PetSTEP. After just a couple of uses he had it down pat and was very comfortable using it. The construction is solid, the walking surface perfect whether conditions are wet or dry, traction is aided by raised ridges......no sandpaper like surface to irritate paws or scratch paint surfaces.
I'm 5'4" and nearing 60, setting up and putting away in my 14 yr old Grand Cherokee are a breeze. I would highly recommend this ramp to anyone, particularly those with X-Large breeds, both for their dog's safety and their peace of mind."

Freedom

Pros: reasonable price, easy to use
Cons: need someplace to store it in the vehicle
"The purchase of this ramp this summer gave back freedom to my black lab. She has a spinal disease that doesn't allow her to jump in and out of my vehicle any longer. This ramp is strong and easy to use and we now get to explore the great outdoors again. Highly recommend!"

A must have for dog owners

"We have a 6 month old Great Dane X who is too heavy to lift into the truck. He's a total wimp, so I was a bit worried whether he'd be comfortable using the ramp. Followed the instructions and after an hour of working with him, he started going up the ramp without coaxing or hesitation. Very well constructed and heavy duty non-slip surface. Highly recommended."

Worth every penny

Pros: well built, non-slip surface
Cons: a tad heavy but to be expected, clasp broke also, watch your fingers
"We bought this ramp about two years ago and love it. We had a large truck and didn't want our two dogs to injure themselves jumping off the tailgate. As our Shep/Rotti X has succumb to old age, we still use this ramp and have found it helpful to get her in and out of the tub also. Even soaking wet, there's excellent traction. Great to see Costco still carrying this wonderful product!"

Fantastic product

Pros: hardcore rubber grip, dogs have no trouble using it
Cons: heavy, clip that holds the ramp folded broke after 3years
"Bought this for use in my Ranger when I was pregnant and lifting was difficult. I had three dogs at the time and had to lift one in and out of the truck. I no longer have three dogs (one succumbed to old age) and althoght my surviving dogs don't 'need' the ramp they prefer using it. One actually refuses to get in the truck without it. I also upgraded my vehicle to a full-size F-150 and the ramp works like a charm with this truck too."

Pros: stores easily ., non-slip grip works in the rain with wet paws.
Cons: pinched my hand a few times closing it.
"We purchased this ramp for our 9 month old English Mastiff and she caught on pretty quick. She loves it and we love that she is not jumping in or out of our SUV."

Great for elderly dogs

Pros: fits perfectly in the back of your vehicle
Cons: a ramp is a little heavy
"I just bought this ramp (May 2011) for my 9 year old Golden Retriever. I took it out of the box this morning and my dog is already going up and down it as if she has been doing it for years. It gives me great comfort to know my pup will not have to be in pain to travel with us. The ramp comes already assembled...just unfold and go. I wish I bought it years ago. GREAT PRODUCT"
