A few significant flaws

"The major flaws with this product are: 1. When the light is on, any of the three instrumental reading is off. One cannot read the compass at night, unless one has a flash light. 2. the alarm clock is soft, and turns itself off in 10 beeps, and impossible to hear through covers or sleeping bag, even with all 5 alarms set to the same time to generate 50 beeps. This watch cannot be depended upon to wake one up. 3. the recharging by solar power is very slow, especially in dull winter months. My watch has been sitting by the window facing the sky for a week, and the battery charge level is still at 'medium'. Since one cannot put in a new battery in this watch, I shall have to bring another watch along on the next trip as the battery might be all spent. 4. The altimeter is very inaccurate, and so is the barometric measurements. The only two data from this watch that are dependable are time keeping, and the magnetic compass. 5. There is only one chronometer (oscillator with counter) in this watch. All the different times it gives are based on this sole counter. It is not the same as the other Seiko/ Casio watch chip that generates 2 separate times (analog and digital)."

Awesome piece of technology

"I’ve had this watch for more than two years, no problems at all. If you don't like big manly watches then this may not be the watch for you. "This is an attractive and tough watch with many useful and user friendly features. The precision time (via daily automatic atomic time keeping sync) works flawlessly . The compass, altimeter, barometer and temperature features function without issue as well (although the watch needs to be off your wrist for several minutes in order to accurately reflect the outside temperature). The titanium and resin case and titanium band make this a very lightweight and durable watch. The fact that the watch is solar powered and has a power save mode places this watch head and shoulders above its competition. You won't be disappointed!""

Simply an Awesome Watch

Pros: value/durability/features, /ease of use/presicion time keeping, /lightweight/solar power, /easy to read display, /world time keeping/illumination, /great watch to wear everyday, /size (big manly watch)
Cons: size (if you don't like big manly watches), /may not be a watch to wear to a formal event
"This is an attractive and tough watch with many useful and user friendly features.
The precision time (via daily automatic atomic time keeping sync) works flawlessly and is simply remarkable.
The compass, altimeter and barometer/temperature features function without issue as well (although the watch needs to be off your wrist for several minutes in order to accurately reflect the outside temperature).
The titanium/resin case and titanium band make this a very lightweight and durable watch.
The fact that the watch is solar powered places this watch head and shoulders above its competition.
I own several other watches at much higher cost brackets that don't come close to the features, functionality and ruggedness of this watch. You won't be disappointed!"

Great Watch

"I purchased this watch about a year ago and it works perfect! The atomic time synch is great for those of us who are wanting the "precise" time. Solar power so that there is no batteries to replace. Barometer, altimeter, and compass work reasonably well. The temperature feature doesn't work that great unless the watch has been off you wrist for a while and out of direct sunlight. This is a big watch so if you don't like bulk, don't buy it. It is a manly watch for sure. Although it is a big watch, the titanium watch strap really lightens the load and makes the bulkiness not so noticeable. It has lots of features that are useful if you are into the great outdoors! I highly recommend this watch!"

Big tough (big) watch

"Very nice multi-function outdoors watch. Very large in diameter and depth but also very light in weight. All functions are easily and intuitively accessed and clearly displayed. Only the units of measure are displayed in tiny font so probably not an issue for most except at initial setup. The watchband links are not easy to remove for wrist sizing. I gave up and took it to a jeweler."

Interesting novelty but not very reliable

Pros: solar powered watch limits battery replacements
Cons: altimeter compass not very accurate. alarm faint
"Interesting toy but definitely not a watch for the serious hiker, climber or outdoor enthusiast. It is interesting to see what altitude you are at but the setting must be calibrated each time the barometric pressure changes which is very often. The compass is way off at least where I live. Alarms and timers are again interesting but not that useful due to their limitations."

Great watch, but useless as an ALARM

Pros: accurate, good looking
Cons: can't hear alarm, stop start and split buttons not labelled
"The alarm is far too quiet. It can only be heard under quiet conditions and if near to the ear. This applies to the count-down timer as well.
Stop, Start, and Split buttons not labelled so it will take some getting used to. Forward is the bottom (ALT) and Back is the top (COMP) buttons. Seems backward to me. All other functions are intuitive.
