Love this fire place

"We have a large sunroom over 400 square feet with a vaulted ceiling and not only does this unit look really nice on the wall it heats our room to a comfortable temp as needed. We are very happy with this piece. It is quiet, the flame is pretty and we love how it does not take up a lot of space."

Underwhelmed

Pros: decent amount of heat., relatively quiet., attactive front view., decent price.
Cons: side-view is unattractive., flames are cartoon-ish., i question the build quality.
"Overall it's moderately attractive, relatively quiet and generates a fair amount of heat. However the side-view is less than ideal. Also, the flames are far from realistic and almost cartoonish. I ultimately returned this fireplace. For the price-point, it's a reasonable purchase. I will unfortunately look to spend a bit more to get more."

good product

Pros: good product for the price
Cons: no glass front
"This is a good product for the price. I did not purchase for the heating aspect, just the "fire" part, which works beautifully. I have it mounted in a mantel taken from my daughter's house. It sticks out a bit and is not quite the correct size. I knew I would have a problem in that regard. My only "beef" is that it does not have a glass front."

Excellent bang for buck!

Pros: generally a very good product.
"Product is sturdy, solid, well built. Mine is on stand, and I feel secure because it is well balanced. Heat flow is great."

Pretty Good

Pros: flames look pretty realistic, puts out a good amount of heat, easy to put away for the summer
Cons: sticks out around 6" from the wall, not very "smart" when turned back on.
"The unit looks nice and works well. The flames look pretty realistic and it puts out a good amount of heat. Enough to raise the temperature 3 degrees in one end of a finished basement.
My complaints are:
When mounted on the wall it sticks out a little over 6". Looks a little weird. Would look way better mounted in the wall and I am investigating that possibilty. The good thing about being mounted on the wall is that it only is held up by 3 screws so in the summer it's not a big deal to take off the wall and put it away somewhere. Also in terms of being mounted on the wall it could only be attached to one stud due to it's length.
In order to turn the unit to: Fan High, Flame Low, Timer: 2 hrs, requires 5 button presses. When you turn the unit off, you have to go through the whole 5 button press sequence the next time you turn it on. Wish it just went back to the way you had it."

Great for a small room

Pros: air flow, price
"Bought this to take the edge of a small sitting room. Does a great job! Love the fact that the air blows from the front downwards!"

Good for the money

Pros: front blowing air so it can be installed below tv, cheap price, adjustable thermostat rather than low med high., brand is bionaire (sunbeam), well constructed
"This unit can be mounted on self standing feet or on the wall. When mounted on feet, it is too far from the wall thus it looks weired. Mouting on the wall make it perfect. The big asset o0f this one is that the hot air is blown from the front rather than from top so it can be mounted under the flat screen TV. The package was very well wrapped. The front panel of made of MDF and painted flat black. This make it look like a real metal fire place.
The remote is a bit flimsy but buttons on the side of the unit are easyer to use. It has a 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30 degrees thermostat settings. This is a big plus. Timer from 2 to 12 hours by 2hours increments.
